That seems an odd one, but I guess it more represents how the bar is getting lowered for that sort of thing; movies, multiple seasons that don't take four years to come out, etc.

I had been wondering, with it being a 12-episode series, and each of Renako's "friends" getting their own 4-episode arc, if maybe they were gonna do Kaho's in the form of an ONA or something. I'm really happy to hear about this. With it being a theatrical release though, I am wondering if/when it's gonna be (legally) available in the US though.

It's airing as 5 episodes on TV. So probably the episodes will be simulcast

Thanks god, I was afraid they were planning to leave viewers hanging after the cliffhanger at the end of Volume 3/Episode 12 so they would get desperate to know what happens next and go buy the LN.
Speaking of the cliffhanger, the synopsis of the sequel spoils how the last episode that just aired ends, is it really okay to just leave it there?

Nice ! Volume 4 is very important. Renako accepted both Mai and Ajisai's feelings and started a trouple , not the kind of volume they could have adapted at the beginning of a new season, so I was hoping for a film or a short special season. I was worried that it would end up like Adachi to Shimamura and stop right before the series' highlight i know the declaration In AdaShima was on vol 6 but the romance arc really started for me in vol 5 .

Maybe the sequel episodes will start airing on TV around the same day as the theatrical release. If they air weekly starting from late Nov they will finish airing in late Dec.

Timing kinda works for REMOW to just dump the five episodes once a week for the last five weeks of the year on their youtube channel. I'd be okay with that. Pushes me reading the manga by a couple of months.

The anime will have overtaken the manga by the time the movie/five episodes air.

People like you who say "anime X will overtake the manga, so there won't be more" always kill me. It is npot based on manga goddamit and they have enough LNs to adapt. Even if the manga sells better, as long as LNs are main source, they will continue making more as long as it is popular.

That isn't what I said at all. I was telling the other user that if they put reading the manga off until the movie comes out, the manga won't have anything for them to read beyond the anime.

Sorry, looks like I misread the message.
Seeing people complain about it so often, I automatically presume the thing.

As a yuri enjoyer, it's really nice seeing more well known yuri manga / light novel like this get a really good anime adaptation.

I was musing with my sibling the other day about how yuri anime rarely ever gets sequels. OK, Maria-sama ga Miteru got several. And YuruYuri, though, as much as I like YuruYuri, is light when it comes to being yuri.
Good. Very good. Hope that other yuri anime get their shot at a sequel.
