hell yeah! I'm glad that all that time of holding myself back from reading the manga paid off and I will be able to go into S2 completely blind.

Longer than I expected, especially as the home market has seen Youtube videos including this in the list of "Adaptations most eagerly awaiting sequels". I suppose getting an airing on Netflix after the original broadcast run must have convinced the production committee to go for a second season.
The arc they'll cover next is even more anticipated than the ground covered to date, so that's something to look forward to.

IMO, this is when the manga really begins to hit its stride. We’re also going to get some crazy villain designs and action, hopefully OLM can do them justice.

With pleasure! The first few arcs after the first season ends were easily the most emotional in the manga. Can't wait to see the Bean Hag cursing the Death God.

Cool. I enjoyed what I saw of season 1 even though I stopped watching after episode 9 or 10. This gives me a good excuse to finish the first season and with Halloween right around the corner the timing is perfect.

Nope they ended the anime with a little teased called " next stop kyoto" it's already planned for season 2 after the first season ended. You probably didn't notice the Easter egg at the end of the last episode

Given the rug pull CR performed for the next season of Oshi no Ko, I'm not as confident in that as I once would have been.
That said, Dark Gathering wasn't near the pull for subscribers, so I would still give it a better than 90% chance of being on HIDIVE.
It really depends on whether CR grabbing the next season of Oshi no Ko was a one-off because it was so popular, or the beginning of them trying to starve the competition.

Not really. Yeah they had that little note at the end but it's more like a teaser to rile the viewers so that they can push for a S2 and boost the manga.

Not really since the publisher don't fund the anime. They not targeting for more volumes to sell and don't forget the publisher is not part of production committee
