Was inevitable, but excited to see how they continue from the first remake.

Agreed. I enjoyed the first chapter on the PS5, it was my first time playing a Trails game and look forward to the next one.

Yeah, this isn't exactly news, given FC and SC are (very famously) originally one game that had to be cut in half when Falcom got a bit ahead of themselves and made the damned thing way too long. There was never any question that they'd fail to remake SC -- even if the The 1st remake had bombed. Which, fortunately, does not seem to be the case -- from what I've read it's been one of their most successful games to date.

Good. They deserve it. And, more importantly, the Sky duology deserves it.

I like to describe SC as "A nonstop parade of crowning moments of awesome." It's an incredible game.

What's really in question here is whether or not we'll see a remake of The 3rd. Hopefully the upcoming SC remake will do enough to bolster Kevin's popularity enough to make the odds of that happening even just a little bit better. (For anyone who hasn't played these games and is concerned about the narrative throughline, SC ends very conclusively; The 3rd is basically just a standalone coda to the duology that also introduces a bunch of stuff that helps set up stuff for later arcs to explore. It really isn't at all "essential" to the Sky story, no matter how you look at it, so you can confidently dive into the SC remake confident it'll fully resolve everything for you.)

And also, like, just speaking purely as a fan... there's a lot more room to improve on the original w/ The 3rd than there is or was with the first two games.
