It’s the perfect example of an Apple TV adaptation of a manga. A high concept, low action drama that uses the manga as little more than a framework for a heavy, heavy story. Apple TV believes itself to be the most highbrow of streamers, and they may be right, since their attempts at lowbrow faire almost always flop. They’re there to win awards.
But come on, do you really see Apple TV adapting Chainsaw Man? Do you want them to? I don’t think you do save as a plot in the next season of The Studio.

Ngl, when I first watched the Monarch: The Legacy of Monsters, they do feel kind of highbrow. And don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the Monarch series.
Going back to the topic, I think that they really got the right cast for this live-action series -- man, Yamapi has gone so far already. From being a member of a JPop boy band to starring at Alice in Borderland to this...
I'm looking forward to bingewatch this
