I was trying to get excited about this, but the blatant generative AI usage in the trailer left a really bad taste in my mouth.

Glad to see Blue Mary although hearing "balancing updates" makes me recoil and reminds me why I hate modern fighting games and the way they're always changing and having to re-learn things and why a lot of oldheads just pick the one or two games they grew up with and got good with and know by heard without fear of them being tweaked or updated. Here's hoping they don't Tekken 8 it

Man, that trailer looks like ass. Could have just cut to the gameplay instead of the AI slop that doesn't even fit the game's art style

About time Blue Mary was included. I assume one of the "mystery characters" is Kenshiro.

Actually disgusting trailer. The game itself is excellent, but man SNK's overlords really do want this game to fail don't they...

I'm glad seeing Jae Hoon in the roster, and unlike his brother, he kept his uniform without a lot of changes, and that kind of reminds me that in the original Mark of the Wolves they're arent pallette swaps of each other, despite wearing the same uniform. Blue Mary and Krauser are great additions, though Nightmare Geese should have been on the base game

Is this the first major use of IA in a promotional video by a somewhat well-known video game developer? I don't like it either, though it was kind of funny seeing some mixed reactions in some fighting game groups in social media that I sometimes frequent, because people tend to upload tons of IA-generated images, mostly of female fighters, though it's a completely different story when a major company uses IA.

Just hope that Kenshiro is an actual playable character and not simply a skin, like just how Yor Forger was in Street Fighter 6.

Many of those older fighting games have characters that are notoriously broken so I’m not sure what the gripe is here.

No version of Geese should be in this game period how is the impact of character’s death supposed to have impact if you keep bringing then back in some capacity. And while I get this isn’t the same as Tekken & Street Fighter bringing back Heihaichi & Bison by actually bringing them back to life along with Nightmare Geese being a nostalgic staple.
It’s still silly

Dude, Nightmare Geese first appeared in Real Bout Fatal Fury Special, the literal next game after he officially died in Real Bout Fatal Fury, as a hidden boss. The point of Nightmare Geese is that he isn't canon in any way since he's essentially a zombie, and KOF XIV even had fun with that by having Geese's "Nightmare" DLC costume literally make him look like a zombie, with decaying skin & everything.
I fully expected Nightmare Geese to be DLC in this game the moment the game itself was first announced. This isn't bringing Geese back to life in the main SNK universe, especially since he's being touted as "Nightmare Geese", which is known to never be canon in any way.

I doubt even the biggest anti-AI dude will turn away from some nice art of Mai or Chun Li
People upset by the trailer don't realize just how much worse it could be. Capcom ran a trailer with a bunch of YouTube shills during the Game Awards and it was the worst thing ever. Give me AI wolves howling over "brand ambassador" slop anyday.

Hence why I said he’s nostalgic staple. Just find it absurd.

Well for starters you only had to learn the game once. Yeah, Vega was OP in SF2. But that's why people agreed to not use him in matches unless it was a mirror match. Or if you were just super better than your opponent you'd let them use him and still win. But the game on the cart was always the same. No updates and changes that suddenly ruined everything and forced you to re-learn things in the same game you bought and owned. No worry that in a year your cart would magically change so now Balrog is the OP one and everything you learned before is meaningless. Or at the very least let people select which versions of the game to play like Minecraft does so we can just stick with the release build.
