the box art for this show gave me madoka vibes for a minute, where the show looks wholesome in the box art, until you flip it and realize what the show is REALLY sellin' ya.
the plot is also...eccentric...kinda reminds me of the current state of crypto, if i'm honest.
edit: i also just realized, she kinda looks like emu ootori from project sekai, that's kinda funny.

But considering the manga author is pretty much understand the commitment and honestly depicting the risks - yes, it can be a good thing for general audience to watch even despite the wild premise.

I heard the manga author had been facing financial, uh, issues. So this anime adaptation might be a boon for him.

Are the “fights” in this metaphorical, or actual battles like in that oft forgotten series “[C]” from a decade ago?

Aww yeah, cute girls making terrible financial decisions. They've even got horror staff working on this, nice. I wonder how far it'll go.

The manga is literally made by market gambler depicting the irony of market gambling.

Yeah, this is all gas no breaks on how bad the playing on highly speculative currency market is and to which lows it can lead.

I guess this is the closest thing to a World End Economica anime that I'll ever get

Ah, I remember reading this. That first chapter is pretty wild. One of the most depressing opening acts for a CGDGT series. Can't wait to see how people react to that.

Can't wait to see how people react to that. | And that only the beginning - if they put the ending of anime on the 2015 Swiss Frank/Euro unpegging following by rugpull and exchange market crashout to make a complete full circle with opening to MC foolishy put herself into even BIGGER debt that she couldn't pay back and decided to also commit suicide out of the sheer guilt like her mother - it will hit way harder than it should be.
But honestly same can be said about half of the series as it goes as pretty depressive (but also quite realistic) as heck - you totally not gonna expect the CGDCT going to deal with themes of suicide, stealing the money from the family members to recuperate losses or (mildly censored) prostitution work by going into financial debts because of poor decisions on the highly speculative market, but here is no brakes on that train.

I wish I could do strikethrough text on this site so I could make the easy joke of turning r/WallStreetBets to r/WaifuBets to describe this show (from the preview, haven't read it).
edit: wait, damn, r/WallStreetWaifus fits better.

So... we could consider this a gambling anime? I mean, there're various Manga and Anime about gambling and horse races, and I know that trading in the stock market is not gambling, but for a person like me who doesn't know anything about economics, it kind of sounds like gambling
