"based on the live-action films"
No thanks. I'll stick with the Jada Toys Street Fighter figures which don't break my wallet and are based on Street Fighter 2.

They wrapped last year. It’s in extensive post production.
Still, Hasbro is a choice given the division behind the quality of their Power Rangers line.

Their Tron line failed, but that may just be because no one cares about Tron.

I don't care what Voltron stuff they make, I'm buying all of it! I don't care if the movie is total garbage, I'm getting everything. I've been spending a lot of money buying stuff I missed out on from Legendary Defender at a markup and a ton of vintage stuff including an '84 talking role play Blazing Sword. No toy companies are doing Voltron at retail right now (Playmates just reissued their '84 Lions) so I hope they'll also be able to do some of the original designs.
Part of the issue that Hasbro had with Power Rangers is they kept going back to the well with the original MMPR instead of trying one of the dozens of other titles they could have chosen from. Lightning Collection was very successful, but mostly exhausted to the point that they started doing characters over again. Then Christ Cocks came along and hated how much money was spent on PR sold off everything. I think as a license they'll do more to cash in on their short term investment. Hopefully something is announced at Toy Fair this weekend, but with the movie still a long ways off we may not see anything until the fall. The fact that they're already announcing a Voltron license is promising, though.
