Yeah, I saw that video getting a lot of attention on social media. Never I thought I would see Sesame Street and mainstream anime (well the live-action adaptation of it) would collide together (well unless you want to count this anime-adjacent crossover with Sesame Street as one). EDIT: Oh, I want to note that Sesame Street is no stranger to Japan since PBS and NHK along with Sesame Workshop teamed up to create a TV special called Big Bird in Japan (which aired in Japan first in 1988, and in the US via PBS in 1989), it was a sequel/follow up to the 1983's Big Bird in China.
On other note: there is a manga called Sesame Street and I'm sad it doesn't featured any of the iconic Jim Henson characters, what a false advertising!!! |

I absolutely love his video and I stand by it, but the Deepah Meeta Hindi Language film Water didn't translate the word Didi "Sister" so there are examples of movies outside of anime not translating words. Same for Les Miserables and Monsieur and so on.

A bit ironic an Oda character is allowed on a show for preschoolers given his.. associates.

Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I'd see Elmo dressed as Luffy and talking about being King of the Pirates and "nakama."
