Between their high-priority project Ghost Concert in the Spring and the studio having to move to the One Base location in Ikebukuro this year, I kind of figured things might be getting a little too hectic at ENGI for this to be ready by Summer...

While the delay is unfortunate, it's better they have the extra time to get things right.
The author's already posted about voice recording being underway and how he's really liking how it's shaping up, so I'm looking forward to when it'll finally air this Fall!

Coincidentally, I just recently started reading the volume of the light novel this season will be starting at, and I think we're in for a real treat. Smile

Considering how bad season 1 got at times, I am not surprised. This isn't the first time ENGI fell apart, at least it didn't happen while the show was airing.

I’m still surprised at how well Medalist turned out given that it’s ENGI. I thought S1 of detective is already dead was meh so we’ll see how they handle S2.

Someone on this forum (not me, I haven't watched it) claims they suspected medalist (engi) was using ai backgrounds...

I am so entirely besides myself with sorrow over the delay for this /sarcasm sequel to the masterpiece that is season 1. Medalist has not been looking that great but it's not hot garbage.

I have no interest in watching a second season after experiencing the first, but this doesn't really surprise me knowing ENGI's output.

I can only hope the delay (and hopefully better execution of the LN) will lead to a stronger final product.

Looking at their track record, most of their shows aren't well know for having stand out visuals; Full Dive, Uzaki, mobseka & Unnamed Memory. The few times they did try and produce multiple shows, they ran into production issues; Usazki S2 & Shinmai Renkinjutsushi started airing in October 2022 with Kantai Collection starting in early November, the latter had production problems and had to air the final 3 episodes a month apart from each other.
