Man I miss when anime movies were original stories and not just canonical stories that you have to watch now if they end up making a season 3.

? original anime movies still come out all the time. I don't get why people always complain about movies being canon as if an extra 90-120 minutes is a huge time commitment before the next season. It becomes more of an issue if the movie isn't licensed beforehand but that's not likely considering how long seasons take these days

For me I would love to see them go away because they always have terrible stories.

It'll probably be a loooong time until we see this in the West...but nevertheless, I'm hyped! Inori and Hikaru finally going head-to-head! Engi with a movie budget! This is going to be awesome!
