One thing I had trouble setting aside was the uh, "forced volunteers" that toiled away in the demon realm...breaking rocks, sleeping in stables and apparently sometimes getting tortured and/or fed to dopey looking monsters. Sure, when Doux was around, it was all smiles and ear-grating songs, but I get the feeling when she wasn't around it was a very different show. One with a content warning that spanned the entire screen.
Mostly though, this show suffered greatest, to me, by being in the same season as the continuation of 'Tis time for "Torture"' Princess. Maomao is far greater than Doux. It's a scientific fact.

I skipped out on this series, because I honestly don't think I can handle putting up with Misaki Kuno's constant eardrum-destroying chipmunk squeaking for 13 episodes straight.

This was a fine fluffy show, but I just could not stand the kid song in every single episode. Yes, kids like to make up songs, but I don't think the voice worked imitating a singing kid, and the music accompaniment was grating.
Songs aside, I did enjoy the Jahi-Doux interactions, even if I knew how every episode was going to turn out.
