Divinez had a strong start (even if the return to outright fantasy elements was annoying after will+dress skirted the line with an AI antagonist) but fell off a cliff with season 2 and never really recovered. Glad it's at least getting a movie to conclude things, but I don't really think anything is going to ultimately fix them trying to do a storyline on the scale of Legion Mate in at best 16 episodes worth of content - it's just so sloppy and rushed
And I don't have much hope for the 2027 anime, I don't trust them to not do (another) bad reboot of the original

I thought the anime after the Destined Showdown was still good.(tho I have seen the Parallactic Clash yet, waiting for the English dub).
I wonder if this movie will be a proper movie or the first few episodes of the new DivineZ arc edited together.

DivineZ had an incredible first season and I'd argue a pretty amazing second season as well. The Deluxe and recent arc absolutely had issues with how much material they crammed into them without giving the space needed for said material to breath.
Vanguard is always going to have the problem of threat escalation. This is an issue both the original series and manga had as well but it's absolutely more noticeable in DivineZ because we have a more compressed episode run in exchange for higher quality animation across the board.
Ideally, they'd learn from this and give thee 2027 series 24/26 episodes instead of 12, giving the series that extra bit of breathing room, even with the animation quality hit. At the very least, we know 2027 won't be another reboot a la V or early overDress, which makes me hope that they'll take the best of the dress seasons (the character writing) and the DivineZ seasons.
Weirdly enough, the d series hasn't been heavy on the actual Cray lore that I was expecting, given we have some of the art that we've barely seen any followups on, like that falling-apart Chronojet or the white Dragonic Overlord.

I think it's likely the latter. The way it's worded in JP sounds like an early/advanced screening. It could be a bunch of episodes edited together or it could be a full movie a la Neon Messiah that'll get the usual TV run after the fact, just spaced out.Won't know until more info.

The Destined Showdown had a litany of problems: none of the Destined One save Kuon are developed (and their dynamic with each other nonexistent; they speak to one another more in a random breather episode of Deluxe than they do in the entirety of the season that's about them); their relationships with their counterparts being likewise paper-thin save Hikari drama (this being where the show's poor pacing where there's no room for anything besides basic setup and a cardfight started to really rear it head); the camping trip being a hamfisted way to tie the entire cast together; and Sybilt just not being a compelling villain, not helped by Evil Nao as a concept being incredibly rushed. But its biggest sin was basically speedrunning an entire 50 episode show's worth of escalation and development (especially for Akina, who has since been shambling through the following 3 seasons like a zombie, with nowhere else for him to really go), which had a trickle-down effort on the entire rest of Divinez
The Deluxe arc was left to be a tournament devoid of stakes or anything especially notable or interesting happening (the closest thing to compelling being Erika's journey, but then Parallactic Clash came along to render it meaningless as she's thoroughly pushed aside), and it was all ultimately setup for Temu Link Joker/Legion Mates without any of the time needed to actually do that justice

Both Overdress and Divinez have basically been suffering from pacing problems..
Divinez season 2 had problems but at least season 1 and 2 felt like a complete story. It feels like they nothing planned for after that, and current season is just them cramming as much plot as they can afer doing nothing during Deluxe.
We can only hope the director and whoever is handling the series composition is replaced again for the new anime. Hopefully for someone who can handle writing and pacing for 12 episode seasons and has a plan for more than 2 seasons.

History has shown that if this is a proper movie, it likely won't get dubbed or even released officially in the Anglosphere. So let's hope it's just a theatrical screening of some episodes.

I know it's a long shot but it'd be dope if this got an international theatrical release.

With how long it takes to bring movies over, the 3 episode TV version (11/7-11/21) will probably have already aired by then.
