Still getting the 500 error so I’ll stick to sending passkeys to mitigate.

I assume this is related to the 'Oops server error' when trying to log in lately?
It mainly happens when I'm on vpn, and when the vpn server location happens to be one of the major ones(New York etc). |

This is still not fully resolved. Had to bypass the inability to log-in by sending a request for re-auth and saving again. Was getting error code 500 otherwise on even logging in, let alone trying to post anywhere in the forums.

Just now got a 520 error ANN currently unavailable, unknown error. Was trying to access a forum post. Ok on reload.
______________________ ETA at ~11 am, I tried to log in and got my first ever oops, error 500 screen. Obviously I'm in now, but I realized I don't understand the "sending a request for re-auth and saving" or "sending passkeys" workarounds if it happens again. I don't think I can do the passkey thing, but what is a re-auth request and where would I send it? (Keep in mind I'm still living in the 20th c.) |

Does this go for all the recent 5xx errors or just the 500 ones?
(I'm living in fear that the fix for the problem will be upgrading the system to where it no longer works for me at all. |

I did mention it in my OP, but when I was getting the Server Error 500, the "Report a Problem" function didn't work (which is why I started this topic). I filled out the forms, but it failed to send at the end. |

Currently running into this issue when I try to view the encyclopedia page for One Piece. It does it when I'm logged in, but when I try incognito so I'm logged out, everything is fine. It does this on Chrome 109 and Firefox 115 ESR.
(Yes, I'm still on rather outdated browsers.) |

Weird. That page loads just fine for me and I'm even more outdated on Firefox than you are (like double digits outdated, which locks me out of half the internet). Where I run into Encyclopedia trouble is if I click on the i in the red circle to see what the error is, I'm asked to prove I'm human, but given no means to do so. That doesn't happen if I try to add, say, a cast member. Only if I want to check on an entry someone has flagged. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So I was finally able to login! (probably wont last long so will try to get this in)
I wasn't able to login and kept getting the server 500 error this went on for about a week and then everything was fine for the last couple of days, but now its back to the server error. And clicking on report problem in the corner has not worked either. I keep getting "report submission failed. Please report the issue to..." which would be funny if it wasn't so annoying. Server error occurs using Firefox 151 on PC, tried Vivaldi and then tried Safari on mobile with same results. ANN site has been cranky for the last 2 months, meanwhile no issues with other websites. |

The front page is displaying the message listed in the subject header and I'm wondering if I'm the only one getting that error. Probably not, since it's the front page, but I haven't seen anyone else make mention of it here yet, so one has to wonder...

I tried to do this and I got a "Report Submission failed. Please report the issue to animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=6 instead." Server Error 500 on the main page and some of the other pages. Some individual pages (like this one) are working. In Taiwan. |

Yeah, I've been getting that on my Google Chrome, and I have to open up Microsoft Edge browser to overcome that. What's going on, I didn't have that on my Chrome until now, but Edge is showing no problem. Any explanation???
