Answerman - All Killer, No Filler and The One Piece Question

I didn't know that Oda had a hand in getting this to happen, but it isn't surprising. We know that "old thing looks old" is already a barrier in general. It's just that the idea of a remake seems odd when the first one isn't done yet. But considering those first episodes are over 25 years old, and it's not like One Piece will finish anytime soon, I can see why the production committee wasn't going to wait.

This was my favorite Answerman from Jerome... Well thought out, clearly presented, and if you read between the lines a bit, extremely educational about how the Japanese companies do business with each other being both "partners" and "rivals" simultaneously, something which business in the West (frankly, outside Japan) does not seem to have a grasp on.

I hope the new One Piece anime is really well done, and ends up being the new "best way" to get new fans into One Piece. The old anime isn't going anywhere for those completionists out there (nor is the manga!)

I wish that one day an Answerman article will be written about Pretty Cure. It did much better in the UK than it did in Canada.
