I mean, I’ll definitely play this, but we could’ve used more footage…

For a game that's coming out in less than 6 months the lack of footage is definitely odd.

I hope the shot of Link isn't final because he looked more like a small adult than an actual child as many people have pointed out. The art style has me worried this is a "Nintendo Hired That Man" situation and it's a super realistic one.

I definitely got "Zelda, but in Unreal!" vibes from that trailer, and not in a good way. The tapestry looked good, but Link himself was giving me aaaaall kinds of uncanny valley. :T I hope I'm wrong about this, but I felt like I was watching a very "executive" version of The Legend of Zelda, with all the artistic vision stripped away for "realism" (or even worse, a genAI version, which is where my mind immediately went towards. >.>)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt that way. Obviously I'll wait until we see something substantial to form a full opinion, but the teaser did not leave a good first impression on me personally.

I don't know what the last few posts are talking about... When I heard the rumors about this game, I was hoping it wouldn't take a photorealistic approach to its art design, so when we got this teaser today, I was extremely happy to see that it is definitely not photorealistic. So I find it odd that some of you seem to have come away with the impression that it is...

Regardless, we've only seen very little, but I'm quite confident it'll be a great re-imagining of this classic. Smile

While I'm glad it's not doing a TP art style, I'm also sad because I was hoping for a cel-shaded look the original art in the manual.

I'm buying it but I will be fuming if they treat my girl Saria dirty.

While I don't expect it to out sell GTA6 I'd expect it to sell the Switch 2 to those on the fence.

Photorealistic Jabu-Jabu's Stomach, Bottom of the Well, and Shadow Temple anyone?

Weird flex when they dropped that Star Fox Remake reveal weeks ago which showed off a lot of stuff….which people complained about but still. Not helped by the fact this game’s existence had been rumored for awhile all this is, is Nintendo confirming it with next to nothing barely any better than the Persona 6 reveal.

I don’t think it needed it when that’s Wind Waker’s side of the street.

I tried looking up ISG and HESS on Google and couldn't really find anything. What exactly do those stand for?

They're names of speedrunning tricks that Ocarina of Time is known for in that community.
ISG is "Infinite Sword Glitch" and HESS is "Hyper-Extended Super Slide".

This is just a wild theory, but could it be that Nintendo is aiming for a sort of cross marketing with the live-action Legend of Zelda movie? I've seen some rumors that the movie will make references to Ocarina of Time, and just like the Star Fox 64, maybe they're experimenting with a more "realistic" artsyle.
Still, just by the few snippets in the tease, it doesn't seem the remake is going to be 1 to 1 remake of the Nintendo 64 game like the 3DS version, perhaps Nintendo is following what Capcom did with the Resident Evil remakes.

I doubt that to be honest. Nintendo just does whatever it feels like

I'd rather have a Twilight Princess remake.
