About halfway through the game (just beat Chapter 6) and I'm loving it. New levels sometimes feel like practically new games, there's so much variety & creativity on display. I think the challenge is perfect because it's exactly as easy or as hard as you want it to be. Just getting to the end of a level is usually really easy, but getting some of the individual discoveries or hidden flowers can be really tough. For example, in one level with predator creatures trying to eat flower creatures, you've got:
1) Rescue all the flower creatures (Easy)
2) Rescue all the flower creatures without harming any predators (Harder)
3) Feed every single predator even though the stage doesn't start off with enough food for all of them (Hardest)
Or like the hang-gliding level, it's easy to just get to and defeat the boss, but then you have much tougher challenges like having to win a race against a fast creature, backtrack through the level with an unusually large hang-glider creature in order to feed it certain items, smashing through a brick wall in a secret area via hot peppers, and more.
It's like they took the best parts of Mario Odyssey and Mario Wonder and made a game out of it. It's brilliant.
