That was a great premiere, it did not really feel like one though because it offered a complete package. If you told me it was a one off then I would believe it. That aside there were a lot of wholesome moments, it was especially satisfying to see how the cats kept thinking of the cat dragon as their family. The bit that followed after that was sadly not so wholesome but it did lead to protected status for the cats. Curious to see where the story will go. |

I liked the anime a lot too and had the same thought about it feeling like a complete in itself special.
I wasn't sure what to expect, but it certainly wasn't for this anime to come off feeling like a strong contender for seasonal favorite right out of the gate. I don't know about how well it was animated, but the voice acting was great and I liked the way them there moving pictures was drawn and written. It's too early to say regardless, but still, it very much set itself apart from the usual fare in my opinion. It's kind of like an order of Clevatess, hold the edgelord. |

Can you make a pretty standard (some slight storybook styling aside) and not very well animated fantasy show interesting just by filling it to the brim with cute cats?
For at least one episode the answer is yes. Not sure if I'll make it through a whole season but I'll certainly give it some more time. |
