I wonder if they went for heavy fanservice due to the poor ratings.

Possibly so, possibly so...

I mean it really is alot this season... I mean it doesn't really bother me, and actually it didn't seem like there was any scenes thrown in here that weren't fun along with the fanservice so at least it isn't mindless fanservice.

Oh god... Laughing but speaking of Anya she was "interesting" the whole "saving moments in time" on her diary was sorta funny when she would just chime in with it.

I also I have to say nice catch Skys, that really could signify a great weakness in his geass, may signify that peraps spoiler[Suzaku may not be under his geass any longer... ]not sure if he asumes he is still...

And you know Westlo I've been wondering just how all the Japanese would react to find that he is a prince of Britannia. I mean he is their only hope, are they just going to quite since they have come so far... I mean it seems like spoiler[some of the Black Knights already think that Zero is just using them as pawns... ]I mean in the end he still wants Britannia destroyed in the end... I am sure that eventually they will discover that Lulu is completely obsessed with killing the Emperor, they may turn on him in the end...

Well paced, good set up episode. gave some new characters screen time and provided more background information. Things should pick up soon, thanks to the last part of the episode. Well played.

He'll just blow them away with one of his "my motives don't matter, it's the end result that does" speeches; of course they won't like it and will become much more suspicious and much more willing to betray him, but I think as a whole they will follow people like Todou who spoiler[ declared he doesn't care if he's being used a pawn ---> although Todou doesn't realize it's for Lelouch's completely selfish reasons, he believes it's for a greater good ]
man i love this show

That occured to me after posting my thoughts on the episode. spoiler[Since Kallen is the type who tends to see the world in black and white, I don't think she'll handle that truth easily and probably would feel that Zero might have betrayed her...again, but I'll give her a few more episodes before she's back to Zero's side as if nothing happened.]

I wonder now howspoiler[ Lelouch will be able to modify his plans without ending up harming the governor of Area 11 or driving the black knights to doubt his resolve to undermine Britannia.]

The fanservice was in fact a little heavy, but I was expecting it so that wasn't too bad and the comedy actually worked from time to time.

Can't wait to see how Lelouch gets out of the current mess...

Possibly so, possibly so...

Possibly, but not that likely, at least in this case.

Unless production is behind schedule, episodes are animated at least a couple of weeks or so in advance, and the premise for this particular one (a school festival with comedy and fanservice) had been pretty much spoiled quite some time ago (there was even a storyboard leak), so I doubt the staff had an opportunity to add much, if anything, they hadn't already planned to do in the first place. Maybe a last minute modification, but nothing major.

So I would think that they probably planned to concentrate a lot of fanservice in this episode from the beginning and make milder increases throughout the season, as shown by the scenes in previous episodes.

Still, not every episode is going to be like this one, nor have they been, so things should settle down again quickly enough for the most part.

spoiler[Simple: change the target, go for someone higher up, move the battle out of Japan or at least that area. After all, by this point it should be clear that just going after the governors won't be enough; they just get replaced. Besides, despite their hatred for Britannians, I don't think the Black Knights would be too fond of murdering a crippled pre-teen girl. Maybe kidnapping, but they still have to consider their public image. Even if you ignore Lulu being Zero, installing Nunally as the governor works good for Britannia because offing her will reflect really badly on the Black Knights and hurt their cause. Considering those factors, Zero shouldn't have too much trouble getting the Black Knights to aim elsewhere.]

Ratings are low? You gotta be kidding! I thought this season was better than the first, but maybe it's just me?

And yeah. Fanservice on that last episode was too much, although it didn't really bother me much. I'm just wondering why Kallen spoiler[had to wear something like that revealing (not to mention ripped) inside that suit.]

And the last part totally had me screaming at the same time pulling my hair for the entirety of the ED sequence Laughing Whoever thought of spoiler[using Nunally like that was a genius (Did Suzaku come up with that idea? I didn't think he was that smart). I don't think Suzaku saw how he reacted, so it all depends on what Lelouch will do from that moment on. So far each episode ended with a cliffhanger, and I love guessing how Lelouch will get himself out of trouble each time. ]

Yeah, Lulu might be able to manage that, he afterall has a way with words, but I don't know if he will be able to spoiler[fool the bitter Nagisa and Toudou for long.]

The emporor might've calculated it like you have: spoiler[to undermine Lelouch and the black knights by appointing a blind child on a wheel chair as the governor which will tarnish their reputation if they attempted anything offensive against her or her government, but I also think he also might've set some kind of a trap for Lelouch and CC when they finally set out to kidnap Nunnally.]

Because those types of costumes don't breathe very well, it gets extremely warm inside there after a while because your body heat warms the air inside and there is not much exchange of said air going on. It's stuffy like being under blankets in the summer and probabally smells pretty bad too. So it's actually pretty logical for her to be in her underwar while inside it. If she was wearing regular clothers she'd be roasting.

I have to say, despite the fact that I may be alone in the fandom...I love Suzaku. Didn't care for him too much in the first season because he was a character type I don't really like, but he has developed very nicely. Love shades of gray! And I also think that his plan for change is a lot more reasonable than Lelouch's.

I think his plan to change things from the inside is completely flawed and prideless. Even if he does somehow manage to prove that Nipponjin can integrate with Brittania, they will never get their name back. I'd like to know what he thinks he's going to acheive.

I like his character, but I hate his means. I think he's only going this far because spoiler[Lelouch killed Euphemia]. Admittedly, I think that was quite gay and one of Zero's lowest points - even if it was an accident. So I can kind of see why Suzaku burns with a desire to destroy Zero.

Spoiler in content
I agree about your point he is still ticked about his girlfriend, though also i think its more that he doesn't want Japan back after he killed his father. Also causes are usualy just an excuse for peoples own objectives. However the next episode is going to be all out war.

Also i heard there is an imiage of an upgraded Gaiwain indicating that it may return.

Finaly If you look at the last ep you will see the wall that girl kept marking with a cross -one of them is just a line wounder why ?? i think this might be important though if might be because she is no longer around why stop half way?
