Have you ever seen something in anime that your just like, wow, thats sick and twisted, but in a good cool way. I know i have. I'm gonna name two.
1- in ninja scroll where(i haven't seen it yet, just saw an amv) where a guy ripped off his opponents arms and was drinking the blood. 2- GUNSLINGER GIRL! Wow, little girls as assasins. thats pretty messed up(again still cool). I just saw episode one i think its awesome from that episode but to see the innocent little girls fighting, wow. In the first episode where(not a big spoiler, especially if you've see episode 1)spoiler[Where hanrietta looses control and just obliterates the guys at that hotel thing. Crazy shoot out, and yet her face was innocent.  ]

haha yeah ninja scroll had some pretty messed up stuff happen in it.
people being eaten alive or melted is still the thing that freaks me out the most in anime, or live action movies, for that matter, heh. |

Yes, Ninja Scroll has quite a bit of... visceral material which makes it ever so gritty and cool, do watch it  !
The last episode of Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid had a particularly unnerving scene that got a bit of guilty laughter out of me. spoiler[When good ol' Gates taunts Yu Fan by dangling her sister's dead body in the hands of his mecha, mimicking her voice as a child would do while playing with an action-figure or doll.] That particular scene made Gates one of the most memorable villains in anime  .

There are plenty, but two that immediately come to mind for me are:
In Baccano when Ladd spoiler[dances in the blood of a mutilated comrade. It is both sick and disturbingly funny at the same time.] He is a great character, totally twisted and cheerfully psychotic. He takes such joy from killing it's hard not to be charmed. And, yes, I know that's kind of sick. Also in Gantz when Kishimoto spoiler[throws herself in front of Kato to save him from some deadly acid. She's killed by being sliced in half at the waist and Kato is still kneeling there holding her torso as she dies. ] |

A scene that really bugged me was in Divergence Eve spoiler[ when Luxandra got killed by the ghoul. It was not super disturbing at first, not very graphic really, but the next day I was eating chinese food and I almost hurled cause I thought of that scene UGH! ]
Also in Elfen Lied episode 1 spoiler[ where that poor clumsy secretary got killed, i was like DAMN ! ] and in a later episode when spoiler[ Lucy fights Nana ( I think that was her name ) and rips all her limbs off... and lets not forget the vectors to the eyes of that psycho merc .... heh. ] |
