I recently picked up the new GTO and noticed they had an outtakes section in the special features. What a great idea, those things where funny (although the ones from the Berserk DVD, which I also checked out this weekend, where funnier)

the ones on Ex-Driver DVD 2 were pretty funny. But I like the extras, that's on of the best parts on a DVD.

Anime Works love the put Outtakes on DVDs. It's always funny listen to a VA trying a attack in Kenshin and they miss it up. *LOL*

Although, I wished they put more "Onizuka Gone Wild". That little section always creak me up.

Kinda, but they use scenes already in the show and either run a) VA screw-ups, or B) VA messing around.
They also did this kind of thing for Orphen, whihc is actually very funny as well.
But the Berserk ones are still funny. Especially the ones where the VA impersonates Arnold Shwartanger ("Go see my new movie, COLLATERAL DAMAGE!")

The best out takes come from Anime Works. Kenshin and Magic Users Club have the best of all, especially in MUC when they start singing or just totaly rewrite the scripts. However, having Saito say "It's all about the bling bling" will forever be burned into my brain. Laughing

This is almost on topic... ADVision used to have archived WAV file interviews with VAs; Hearing Amanda Winn-Lee say "Would you like fries with that?" in Rei Ayanami's voice was a joy.

If you remember when they were posted (heck, they're probably still on adv's site _somewhere_) you can always check archive.org for 'em.. if they were smaller than ~3mb total, odds are good that they were archived.

^-^; Maybe it's just me, but I never really cared for anime outtakes. Maybe just because I disliked the dub voices in the first place, so hearing them trying to be funny again just didn't do anything for me. It's hard for me to associate an English voice with anime characters, unless they are originally done in English. That's why I prefer Japanese anime omakes, as they're a lot funnier to me. To take a random example, the ones at the end of the Fushigi Yuugi OVAs (old ones).

archive.org? Thanks for reducing my productivity even more, Cookie. I hope none of my old messboard posts are archived.
