I think he meant only RPGs, RE is Survival Horror and Animal Crossing is a strangely addictive something that doesn't fall into any category. Anywho, I have Final Fantasy 4-10, The Legend of Dragoon... I wanna get Xenosaga when it comes out. I never got around to buying Kingdom Hearts yet...

Yeah, I guess you're right. But I don't pass up a chance to mention da Rezzy. It rocks, after all. But we have a bunch of final fantasy's anyway.

and since animal crossing is basically you, in a video game, i guess it doesn't count. samson painted my roof pink. damn bastard. it's supposed to be purple man!

I hate when they do that! But the best part of the game is when you get to change their catch-phrase things. Some of my favorites are "Stupid", "I'm drunk", "Idiot" etc... You get the point. Nothing like being insulted by a friendly woodland creature...

No matter how many people bash modern RPGs, I always see great comments about two games: Chrono Trigger and Xenogears - so it doesn't surprise me that a lot of people are looking forward to Xenosaga. A couple of guys on another board said they played the Japanese import version and that it's very different from Xenogears, but just as good. Did you know that story-wise it is the prequel?

Ouu! A Thousand Arms fan *Evil Grin*. Did you catch the in-joke at the start of the game in Meis' room towards Itoh's other works? Must convert fan to Itohism....

As for me: Final Fantasy, Thousand Arms, and Suikoden (I can't believe no one has mentioned the Suikoden series yet).

I still haven't gotten Xenogears yet, and I'm going to get a PS2 this Christmas I hope (Drool....Suikoden 3, Final Fantasy 10, and Kingdom Hearts).

I'm one of the few people(In the rpg community anyway) who thinks that xenogears isn't all that great. It's got a great story, but...the gameplay is just so bad. The story made it enjoyable, but I just don't see it as the best ever like so many do.

If xenosaga has just as good story and even just a average battle system though it'll be a AWESOME game.

my sister likes suikoden~ joi is cute Anime smile

about aminal crossing, we make them say things that only we would understand. like this one time, me and my bf were standing in front of out bahamut figure, and he was making his mouth move, and saying "ss...ss..." and eventually, he exclaimed, "simmda'na!" like in dem sketches on SNL. In a frenzy of laughter and body convulsions, my thumb was thrusted upwards, and the edge of the t.v. cabinet actually sliced into my finger.

boy did that hurt. so, that's the story behing "ss...ss" which is what one of them say.

Yeah, I've known that for a while. The game came out so long ago in Japan, it's FINALLY supposed to come out here in March 2003. About Chrono Trigger, that's a good game that I forgot to mention. I never played Chrono Cross but from what I've heard it's a good thing that I haven't.
