i don't get why this is classified as a Yaoi title. from what i've read it's just a traditional horror manga. granted Count D looks and acts very gay, but there's nothing about this manga at all that classifies it as yaoi..

Well, it's not yaoi at all from what I've read. There's a thing between Count D and Orocot, but not enough to classify it as yaoi. (Unless something happens in the later volumes that I don't know about...)

I just had a convo about this on another forum, and I'm pooped. I don't know why it's under a yaoi category to some, but one of the reasons seems to be because the author writes many "ladies manga" which aparently is a genre that's pretty much nothing but yaoi, or so says Animerica. That's the only reason for it to be called yaoi that came up. Another reason for this could be that some don't think yaoi as just guy on guy porn, and instead think of it more like just plain shonen-ai.
I personally think of it as a shoujo manga with horror/mystery, and maybe a bit of slashy shonen-ai.
