Well, the plot sounds interesting, but I would have preferred it to be 2D animation... but I could like it anyway, it's too soon to say.

Huzzah for more Rintaro work! Like Sariachan, 2D animation is still my preference, at least for character designs. Personally, I'm waiting for him to return to the setting through which he wooed me and direct another sci-fi, regardless of how 'Asian' the end product is in appearance.

"My girlfriend is a cyborg?" That sound like the plot to Metropolis.
If it looks anything like Hottarake then I want to see it. I like how Japanese CG films are more colorful, imaginative and open-ended than stuff like Shrek or Open Season.
Well, except for Appleseed which I heard was pretty bad.
