In The End of Evangelion, the song that occurs during the "Third Impact," called "Komm, susser Tod*," is that the original version played in the Japanese soundtrack, or is it a song that was translated from Anno Hideaki's original lyrics to be performed by an American singer exclusivley for the English language version of End of Evangelion? So if it is the original, the version played in Japan has an English singer? That would be strange.
*it is the song where she sings "tumbling down, tumbling down, tumbling down..."

The original version played in Japan is indeed sung in English...
