I'm sure there's a good number of 13 year-olds out there who will sorely disappointed that no more QB will be coming their way without a credit card. Until they find torrents.

Downloading Queen's Blade is one of the fastest ways to get noticed and reported to your ISP.... I'm sure ANN reported on this when it was first airing....

It doesn't even take 5 minutes to know that Queen's Blade should be a restricted title. Does any online service actually screen content before uploading it? First iTunes and now this.

I'm surprised they even put up Queen's Blade for free in the first place.

Maybe a little back then, but I haven't heard anything on the matter since. And at most, they were just warnings to people.

If Parental Controls were activated, the free episode couldn't be downloaded. The rating was also clearly listed and the video was located in a category with other free TV-MA rated downloads.

http://www.media-blasters.com/QueensBlade/ Actuallty, the ep is available for free streaming on Media Blaster's website, so they can do that. Though I imagine MB will continue to make it available on PSN's pay section-- apparently it and Xbox are decent markets for them.

Once again, Sony giveth only to taketh away.

Here's a leak for the 2011 ad campaign:
Sony. Customer satisfaction comes with a price.®

And who the hell is IGN to complain about mature content?

Yeah. It's also rated TV-16 rather than MA by Media Blasters if I recall on the back of the box. It was the same with Ikkitousen which Funi changed to TV-MA when they got a hold of it. (Ikkitousen Dragon Destiny is still TV-16) But technically, almost all anime is classified as "unrated" by MPAA standards and listed as such on amazon.com for example.

I suppose whatever ratings or restrictions applied are done at the discretion of the content provider. If America were like Brazil, Argentina, many EU countries though, this kind of stuff would be like, TV-14 or so Very Happy

well i sure am. though i have it already , kinda stupid if you ask me.

IGN , are completely moronic for telling them that. So stupid.

And this is the reason why my family have a WII instead of a PS3. Cause sony always use that motto. Everything comes with a price when it comes to the PS.

Also IGN never liked fanservice or ecchi series. it looks like their more into supporting 4kids type series than decent anime like QB and others.

it's one of the reasons why i never take them on. Just waiting and hoping that their stupidity will cause them to go Chapter 11 just like what 4kids is eventually doing to themselves.

"Hey this is porn. We should be charging for this!" Smile

I suspect it isn't the maturity of the material that made them decide to run it on a paid service but it's popularity. QB is bad, but it's amusingly bad. The fanservice is not so much erotic as laughable. It's quite possible that a lot of people would want to watch it out of curiosity.

That's exactly what's going to happen.

Sony may have accidentally (or purposely) stumbled onto a winning situation for themselves.

The Sony bashing is really ridiculous. Yeah, this seems silly, but at the same time, without parental controls turned on, anyone could watch this, so they're saving themselves from the headache of having angry parents complain. I'm pretty sure everyone on this board knows full well that some parents love to complain that somebody else was responsible for letting their kids see cartoon boobs.

So I suppose that completely free online play they offer to everyone with a PS3 doesn't count?

And how exactly is it bad for them to charge money for certain things? It's called a business, they have to make a profit to keep going. Last I checked Nintendo charges for stuff, too, but then again it's always easier to knock someone else to justify our own preferences, isn't it?
