Over a week has passed since this review was written, though I presumably speak for many when I say it now reads with an unexpected degree of pertinence. In light of recent news, those yearning to celebrate this director's work shall appreciate the alleged improved transfer.
(On the matter of transfers, Manga try their best. I'm informed by local insiders that making a PAL-formatted release is usually quite a chore.)

I would love a R1 remaster. The non-anamorphic widescreen version leaves a bit to be desired, but it's better than nothing. Is this new UK release anamorphic?
