Skin tight body suits and mecha will make up for any shortcomings the story and director have. It's great having no standards and being such an apologist.

Those suits always bothered me. The reason for them was total bs and they made it harder for me to take Alternative seriously.

To give boners. Why can't we take this to the extreme and let Urushihara design the outfits? Then we cut all the back and forth and get what we want, useless but ridiculously sexy clothing. |

This whole franchise is pretty much porn for mecha fans. Needless to say, I'm totally looking forward to seeing the premiere at AX.

That's an exaggeration, especially for Alternative. There's a fair amount of politics, relatable human drama and character development. They probably could've done away with the physics jargon but I'm sure some nerdy otakus in Japan were overjoyed when they viewed those scenes. So who are the guys that come up with Eclipse's promos because this did absolutely nothing to get me excited and I'm one of the few people that's familiar with the ML universe. Did they leave like no budget for the promos because all we got was some really generically bad epic music with text....and no other sound. |

I haven't seen any of the source material. It's all new to me. The actual CG, animation, and character designs look good. So I will be viewing this.
I don't have any problem with the suits either, really, this is Japanese anime we should be used to suits for females that aren't really realistic. Like my favorite team, "Dirty Pair", the Lovely Angels. And you can't blame the Japanese for this either, Red Sonja anyone? |
