The characters look SO much different than the original anime, and it looks like maybe they're going to start from the very beginning... Interesting :]

*Sigh* if only they had had done this the first time around instead of releasing an anime when the original manga's storyline was still too short to make an anime...
The characters look like the original manga designs a lot more, except that I find the way they color their hair to be a little weird. If you take a look at the characters, more we're added. Before, they ended at Hugues, now you have: Lust, Gluttony, Envy and Scar. I'm still not pleased with the new cast, but, I'll watch it anyway

Ah you know after those previous commercials and all I was wondering when we'd finally get even the slightest hint of what the 1st OP would be and I would have to assume that indeed the music playing in this commercial is a snippet of the 1st opening theme for the FMA reboot.
Now I have to ask: Anyone have an idea what's the name of the song or at least the name of the band performing said song? Doesn't sound like any of the original four which is personally a relief to me as I was worried they might do an attempt of 'repeating history' by either having the 1st OP being once again done by Porno Graffitti or yet another L'Arc opening (I really like L'Arc~en~Ciel but I would certainly lose no sleep if they didn't do any themes for the new series. One awesome opening theme in the 1st series plus the opening AND ending themes for the movie was more than enough, thankyouverymuch) |

Wow, I'm surprised they show spoiler[Sloth and especially Father] on the website, since they don't make a physical appearance until later in the manga.
Anyway, looks pretty cool, can't wait. |

I preferred the fleshed out, weighty feel of the original anime's designs, but these make sense in such fluid animation.
You'll also notice that there are more character profiles on the site now, too. Looking forward to the new series. I've been watching the first one again in anticipation. |

Wow! I wasn't all that optimistic about this series at first, but after watching the trailers, it looks really great. Beautiful animation, can't wait to see it. Hopefully it lives up to the greatness of the original manga and series.

Well, so it's a go that they'll use the Father storyline and homunculi this time around. Believe me, for a while I thought they were only taking a few elements from the manga but still doing their own story, a la first FMA series.
Can't wait to see Scar's new story develop. Above all else - with spoiler[the entire military command of Amestris working in tandem with the bad guys] running a close second - that's what I look forward to watching. |

I better start saving my money. I'm probably gonna end up owning this when it gets released in the U.S. no matter who gets it and dubs it (prays that Funimation gets it).

Anime of 2009 if they stick to the manga plot. I like the ED and hope the music is as good as the original series.
The character's designs have a little bit of Soul Eater in them. They also look a little younger than the first series. It also has a more manga-ish feel to the characters(I particularly like Ed and Mustang's design). The fights are going to be glorious and I hope if Funimation gets this, release it on Blu-Ray. |

You don't have to worry about L'arc doing any theme songs for this series most likely, as they're on hiatus until 2010, IIRC. |
