With the major success of Kenshin here in the states, you guys think viz will go after the license for Busou Renkin (Armored Alchemist) soon?
I've seen so preview of it and it certainly remind me of kenshin but cooler somewhat. I have a feeling this will be made into an anime once more material is released.

Well I am not so sure they will get it...I am thinking more of a Tokyopop. If Yahiko No Sakabato is licensed then I might re-think this...

I've been reading Bosou Renkin as a scanslations, and the first volume is very good - it's the only part I've read. The art is great, and the story is interesting.
I could really see either Tokyopop or Viz getting this title - it would fit in with the Shonen Jump line-up...

Yea I could see the whole "shonen" jump with this title, since it's part of shonen jump in japan. It's just not well establish as some of the other title that viz licensed.
But the "name" behind a series will attrach people and is a good marketing tool. It's very interesting, because Kenshin (manga) is really popular and selling really well right now. Watsuki definitely has a large fan-base, so people (like myself) are looking for more of his work other than Kenshin (which most of us already seen in anime form). Tokyopop or Viz should difintely take note. Too bad tokyopop is only doing a survery on anime and not Manga.

Seeing as how it's published in Shonen Jump, I don't think Tokyopop would be able to license it.

Yes, I think Busou Renkin (Armored Alchemist) could indeed be picked up by Viz as it fits it Shonen Jump particularly well.
But before anything else is done involving Watsuki-sama, I really want to see Yahiko no Sakabatou.
I dont see why Tokyopop and/or Viz has not sent these 2 great titles to the U.S. but it's their loss. (and unfortunately ours as well)
But atleast we still have Kenshin volumes 5 - 28 too look foward to!

I really like this manga a lot. It becomes very-very interesting after the appearance of the betrayer and black core iron. The characters are very like-able. However, i found this manga lack in action. I hope there will be more battles soon!

I'm a big fan of "Ruroken", and I have read many reviews and previews of "Armored Alchemist", so i think that it should do just as good as "Ruroken". Fans of watsuki's series will really atach themselves to a.a., but really expect big things from its sequel, "Yahiko no Sakabato". If im wrong then let the world know that I am.

Don't expect too much of Yahiko no Sakabatou... it's only a one-shot after all, one chapter... I don't kow if it even needs seperate licensing. Glénat, in their French edition of Kenshin, have added Yahiko no Sakabatou to the final volume of Kenshin, in my opinion a great way to handle this. It's definitely a great little story, very interesting. Yahiko is just great!
I like Busou Renkin, too. I've "read" up to volume 4 (I'm not that great at Japanese... at all...), and find it rather loveable, and sometimes... surprisingly daring.
I hope it gets licensed... all over the world, because it would deserve to be a little better known.
