I'm curious, what was the point in ending the series in the first place if he was planning to continue it anyways? Couldn't he have just put the series on hiatus for a few months and picked it up again next year?

Might be a nice timeskip involved or some other big difference thus a sequel.

Its a guy who writes this? I always figured the author was female because although it has loli, its done in a lot more serious manner then your typical loli written by male artists.

I always figured the author was male since he appeared in the first episode of the anime as himself...

But considering the type of vampires and werewolves most women come up with, even in manga, why focus in on the loli spoiler[redn herring]? Monstrous? Ugly? Not usually.

What I remember of the original manga, the guy wrote himself into a corner a bit so a timeskip would be a good way to clear the storyline.

Although im going to love the series continuing, if it gets licensed in the states i fear for my wallet again, as bunds prices continued to increase the more volumes that came out

Sledge Hammer's Recollections? That's what you get for writing yourself into a corner with a nuclear warhead.

Would be rather surprised if they didn't, I was under the impression that it was a pretty good seller for them.
