Having only seen Rashomon (so I don't know if the character is different in the story), pretty boy Oguri Shun as Tajomaru seems rather bizarre to me.
Hanazawa Rui as a cowardly rapist? O_O |

I was pretty sure I read a story called "Rashomon" by a dude named Akutagawa. Something about a homeless guy hanging out at a gate.

I think that in this case they're refering to the movie "Rashomon" which is a combination of Akutagawa's "Rashomon" and "Yabu no Naka" (In a Grove) short stories...though Yabu no Naka was really the major focus of the movie (a really good movie).
