That recap episode was a disaster. Why recap events that happened in the episode right before it? 
The live event thing might be nice though.

Romantic Comedy? To me Kimi ni Todoke was more of a shoujo series, at-least that's what the impression was for me when I watched the anime, haven't read the manga though, but from what I hear it's pretty spot on to the anime. However, to me romantic comedy sounds something like Seto no Hanayome and Zero no Tsukaima (but those two are also in the seinen department as well) who knows? anyway back-on-topic, this event video could be good... I mean I could definitely use something to wash down the bad ending to the anime, they were so close but, in the end they couldn't confess to each other. However I definitely think that this leaves room for a second season, so maybe?

I don't even know why they even made a recap episode in the first place... I mean for longer series such as Urusei Yatsura and Kodomo no Omocha I'd understand however for a normal 2 cour series I don't think that a recap episode is required.
