oh wait they are serious about this, well I hope it goes well for viz sine more 360's are out there than ps3's?? On a side note I just love Xbox 360 setup. You have to pay them money to accesses content you are already paying for via gold.

Yes, Gold membership is basically needed for any streaming access or net gaming including Netflix, the new Crunchyroll app and the future Neon Alley app, Youtube, etc. Etc. Microsoft makes sure they get their cut.
That said, you can get your Gold membership very cheaply around Xmas when the subscription cards go on sale and they have a new bonus points system which can even give you Gold membership for free.
