Ya, I've see the first season of slayers and I highly recommend it! It's has everything, action, adventure, comedy, everything you could ever want and more. The animation may seem a little out dated but it's worth the rent. If you can spare the dough it's even worth to buy the box sets, there only 50$ a piece. If that’s not a deal for 26 episodes I don’t know what is!

Yeah, Slayers is great. I've got to agree with msi435 on his description. Very good stuff. Yeah, the animation is a bit dates, but that should never stop you from enjoying anime in, my opinion.

I'd definitely recommened it. I bought the manga books, all 3 box sets of all the sections of the series and am currently working on getting all the movies. The animation is a bit older, but still well done and definitely worth buying of you can afford. It was one of the first full series I bought and I've watche dit about 6 times already. Actually maybe since it was brought up I'll go home and start watching again tonight.

I've only seen like the first 15 or so episodes of the first season but I liked it immensly.

As for the series costing $50 per season, you can get them for $26 each on deepdiscountdvd.com
This price rocks and I plan on getting it real soon.

Go with it.
Slayers is a classic, hilarious and extremely entertaining series. You will find literally everythting there, but with a huge emphasis on comedy. And there is nothing better than a comedy fantasy parody.

The three Slayers series are excellent and well worth the $81 at Deep Discout DVD to get all of them.

I've seen all of the series and movies. I highly recommend the series-it is good, silly craziness. Megumi earns her reputation. The movies are ok, but the shortness and lack of the series' central characters fall short of the charm that drew me to the three boxes that I was initially introduced to. Another personal note-this was the first anime I watched subtitled. I never went back to dubs.

I've seen most of the second and third season and positively loved it. 'Haven't seen it since, unfortunately, but I plan to get the box sets real soon. Smile

Ruin Explorers comes to mind. Star Ocean EX may also work.

Maze TV series & OVA and Gokudo.

The Slayers is one of my favourite series. If you watch the english language dub soundtrack, you'll find half the cast of Pokemon!
