I was in Barnes and Noble today and there was a stand up display with all the new Shojo Beat titles. There was the Shojo Beat magazine sampler which I already have but there was also a manga compilation with excerpts from all the new titles. It said not for sale or resale so I took it up to the cashier, just to make sure you didn't have to buy a Shojo Beat title to get it or something. I asked her if it was free, and she said "Yeah, don't you wish!" rather sarcastically. I told her it was a promotional item but she still looked sceptical. Then she scanned it and it came up free. So anyway, if you want to try out the new Shojo Beat titles to see which ones you might like, look for "Shojo Beat Manga Sampler #1" at your local bookstore. It contains about 185 pages and features samples from Meru Puri, Full Moon, Host Club, Fushigi Yugi, Tokyo Boys & Girls, and Ultra Maniac. They also might have placed it in the regular manga section away from the stand-up.

I said about this in the Shojo Beat Discussion thread. I just took it. No one gave me crap for it either.

I got the book at Suncoast and the Cashier gave me a free baby-t that says ShoujoBeat.
