Well, hurry, up, Jimbo. 3D Realms is making you look like a slow-poke. Rolling Eyes

"It's definitely somewhere on my desk. I just have to find it underneath all the 3D stuff."

I'm looking forward to this, but I personally consider it a "possibe-great-movie-far-off-into-the-future project" that is likely to be cancelled if Cameron suddenly should get the urge to do something else.

Not to be a "killjoy", but I'm kind of tired of hearing about whether Cameron directs the movie or not. He's got his own stuff to do.

*Just a joke, doesn't he know the world is ending this May? Chances are we wouldn't have time to get it directed anyway. Laughing Laughing

You really think that Cameron would trifle himself with something like Avatar the Last Airbender? Only a hackjob director who used to be good twenty years ago would do something like that.

In other words - James Cameron.

At least Cameron still likes Battle Angel Alita enough to keep talking about it, and despite Avatar he seems to still love Alita.

Things can always be worse. You could be a "Princess of Mars" fan, as your franchise is passed from director to director, screen play to screen play, with nary a word for years at a time.

Though the John Carter of Mars crowd now has the 'Warlord of Mars' comic to bide their time until the 'Princess of Mars' is made.

Another Piranha 2 fan? Oh wait, that's 30 years. My bad.

They kinda did make a Princess of Mars movie about a year ago.

It was a low budget sy-fy (sadly) film by Asylum studios. It has a US soldier from Afghanistan instead of the Civil War, and former jailbait Traci Lords as the aforementioned princess. Pretty much what we've all come to expect out of an Asylum film, basically.

Still, I heard their Sherlock schlock was better than Guy Ritchie's.

As with all Hollywood anime adaptations, I'll believe it when I see an official trailer, and even then it could still possibly be cancelled.

And who should direct the movie, stereotypical internet nerd guy, Christopher Nolan? Laughing Sorry, I don't live in the alternate universe where a "hack" is capable of making a movie like Avatar.

He wanted to make Avatar since like 1992. I think it's going to happen this time. He's been more consistant with talking about this than other projects that fell by the way side.
