Haha, the first time I read this book, I kept thinking of Macross Plus. Guess I wasn't that far off then Wink

I'm a big gibson fan and idoru is a great book so an anime (or film) would be great if done well. It'd be nice if he was involved in the project

Same! I picked up the book several years ago because the description reminded me of Macross Plus. However I remember the writing being very difficult to read, like it was a sequel to something I'd never read, so I didn't finish it. This bit of news makes me rather interested to try it again.

It's sort of a follow up to Virtual Light, with All Tomorrow's Parties being a sequel to it.

Anyway, I absolutely love Gibson's work, so this totally rocks.

We can only hope they get people who can actually act.

As for other Gibson books, I think that Neuromancer is one of the few that would adapt with relative ease. The only problem is the sheer amount of plot. Gibson's style of multiple plot threads that seem completely independant until the very end would be a huge complication for a movie. Neuromancer didn't do this.

I'd personally like to see Johnny Mneumonic as it was originally intended to seen, and not the one that Tristar re-shot and re-edited.

I actually liked Johnny Mnemonic. Sure, it was nowhere near the level of Blade Runner or even Running Man, but it seemed a lot more original in style and presentation than The Matrix.

I think it would be awesome if Bones did this with Shinichiro Watanabe directing and Gibson writing the screenplay.
