ANN is supported by advertising, but we forbid invasive ads like:
* pop-up * pop-under * overlays * sound that plays when page loads Additionally, we also forbid inappropriate ads including: * Ads for hate groups or promoting hate speech * Ads for pirate and bootleg content or goods * Ads featuring pornography (we allow ads for pornographic content provided the ads themselves are not pornographic) * Ads for religious organizations or content * Ads for political parties, and certain other political content (case by case basis) * Ads for content or services that is otherwise illegal The most important thing to do when you see such an ad is to report it using the Report a Problem feature. Instructions on how to do this can be found here: animenewsnetwork.com/.144075 In addition (but not instead of) using the Report a Problem feature, you can also post additional information in this thread. Additional useful information not collected by the report includes: 1) Screenshots 2) When this problem first happened 3) the url where the ad leads when you click on it (right-click -> copy link address) Posting here also helps alert us to check the reports as we do not currently have a staff member dedicated to doing this every day.
