About bloody time. Kai felt incomplete without Majin Buu.

Still too long!

But, length and cheapness aside (how am I putting that aside), it's still better than sitting through nearly 100 episodes of the Buu arc in DBZ.

To be fair, a lot of filler in the Buu saga was added fight scenes. Essentially the stuff that would've been in the manga had Toriyama not lost interest.

That's almost 1 year and a half worth of anime. I didn't expect it to be this long.

Considering how much the original seasons of Kai cut, this is a little long. The Saiyan saga was reduced to 16 episodes (including the removal of some canon manga material), while the Buu saga has 69. I know the Buu saga is supposed to be longer, but come ON. There's probably some filler they simply can't cut around, like Bulma and the Ginyu Frog. Really, they would've been better off just be doing a whole new adaptation.

Yet the first two episodes went at a ridiculously fast pace (especially episode 2) in order to speed through the Great Saiyaman material. It makes me wonder if the pace will slow down some once the main Buu stuff starts occurring.

I had expected around the 50 episode length since most of the first wave of Kai was essentially 2 episodes of Z in 1.

Yeah, way too long. I fear that once the tournament starts - and especially once Buu shows up - the pacing is going to go back to the old DBZ standby of being measured in "geological time".

That SP or maybe they will KAI together some of the movie sets. Just because, then ignoring the whole reason they made KAI. Very Happy
