Because Child Labor laws. They can't have children working an adults schedule, so they have two to fill the part. It's been like this before in previous SM musicals, as well as other things like in Broadway. It's the same with Mary-Kate and Ashley who both played Michelle Tanner in Full House.

It has nothing to do with the story or anything. There won't be two Chibi Moon's.

I loved loved LOVED last summer's La Reconquista musical... I have it's OST somewhere and I used to loop it at work. So freaking awesome. I cannot wait to see and hear what new catchy as heck songs this new production is gonna have. xD Who else is excited to see the Dark Moon arc played out in this new Musical?
