That's lame.

I guess no matter what part of you world you visit, the police force will largely be comprised of retards. :/

He's not the hero Chiba needs right now, so they will hunt him...... er, rather stop him from being in the marathon, haha.

Seriously, what kind of idiot thinks it a logical thing to ban someone from a marathon FOR WEARING A COSTUME?! I mean, hasn't it occurred to them that in marathons, lots of other people wear costumes? And seriously, the people will see the bike and run towards it? LIKE HELL THEY WILL! Honestly, what were they thinking?

The scenario the police imagined would happen:
Spectators: "OMG It's Chibatmaaaan!!! Squeeee!!" *jump to the road* *sheet happen*
And seriously, who would actually do that? The police are being silly.

This man is really cool. I'm waiting for Chi versions of the rest of the DC mythology to pop up in this prefecture. Good way to generate some tourism at least. Of course, if baddies start turning up bloody and tied up outside police HQ, we might have a problem.
EDIT: a REAL problem.

I guess they're worried that there's gonna be a ChibaJoker now. Something about escalation.

I don't see why Chibatman can't take in the marathon; I'm sure the marathon staff will have no problem with him at all as long as he doesn't enter "vigilante mode," so to speak.
Of course, it's no surprise that the police have simply lost their marbles in this case.

Yeah. Chibatman on his Batpod would be the pacer of half the marathon - pacers on a running event don't drive that fast. And he'd be surrounded by police officers on their own bikes. Plus, Japanese aren't half as unruly as the fans in Tour de France, and mostly that goes thru 21 stages --each at least as long as a marathon-- without a hitch.

I'm not surprised; Batman was never on completely good terms with the cops.
