I'm sure it will appeal to a small portion of Yuri fandom that labels anything "Yuri" where two female shaped beings share the same frame, but it's no more Yuri than TaTu was lesbian.
If they want to appeal to Yuri fans, they should make it possible for actual LGBTQ folks already in the industry to be more openly gay. This is utterly snoozeriffic marketing targeting the easily manipulated. |

I'm not sure you can really speak for a fandom. There's no indication yuri fans have to care about lgbt. Nobody seemed to mind TaTu not actually being lesbian |

I'm quite comfortable speaking for the fandom I helped build. And many of us minded TaTu. In fact, many lesbians found them very irritating. |

There's a lot of different reasons why people like yuri, but if you say you don't belong to the same yuri fandom as someone who worked on Strawberry Panic, then I'm not really sure what we can do at this point other than disagree.
