Wonder if Puzzle and Dragons Z sold well enough in the west to warrant a localization of this one.

I wonder what an anime based on the mobile version would be like with all those cross promotions they've done so far. Still, I guess this is pretty cool, since the dragon and monster designs are visually very impressive. :)

The P&D geek in me will watch this to the very end even if it turns out to be Divine Gate-level awful.

P&D can't work well as an anime, it's going to end up flopping like Z/X Ignition. If any puzzle game would work as an anime it's Puyo Puyo due to it being based off Madou Monogatari a long running RPG series.

Yeah, but that's the 3DS game, that got a story, not the P&D mobile game.
