The SLA passes are certainly cheaper than Hyper Japan nowadays, provided that one overlooks the cost of travel.

Strangely enough it's cheaper for you to get to Glasgow than it is for me to get to London. But all in all Hyper Japan was kinda a let down for me I guess it's more aimed at those who haven't yet been to Japan. But yeah over all not sure it's worth buying this early if you don't know what's going to be on.
