Ever read Philip Jose Farmer's "Riverworld"? This sounds an awfully lot like Riverworld.

What's the average adaptation rate for this show, anyway? (Episodes to chapters)

Having read both the Dr. Stone manga and tons of Riverworld, I'd say they are dissimilar in terms of plot and tone, but that anime fans who enjoy one might have a good chance of enjoying the other.

The first six episodes cover the first sixteen chapters, so around 2-3 chapters per episode. Story wise, I remember thinking that the chapters covered by Episode Six felt like they were part of a mid-coeur or end-of-coeur anime episode back when they first came out.
