Hmm I am tempted to call this vanilla Isekai but the whole massive drops for potions and food thing might make it a gimmick Isekai. But it feels like Isekai from 5 years ago where they just enjoyed a simple power fantasy. Feels very work a day if you take my meaning.

Having read the novels it is indeed very vanilla and basic. The gimmick of killing monsters to get food and other stuff quickly becomes a daily grind and a large part of the series is becoming efficient at it to make fat stacks. It has no major story or epic battles to speak of, so if that sounds boring then it is likely not for you.
