I have to say, I'm still greatly enjoying this show. A show doesn't need the best production values if you really like the characters, which I do like the characters. I guess I'd put along side Reincarnated As a Sword and Eminence in Shadow in that regard. Kudos to some great voice acting in bringing the cast to life.
I was a bit thrown off by the fact that this seaon's second and third episode (if I'm remembering correctly) centered around the rather boring and far less fun haunted try-hard Hero(ine), who frankly I found kind of a stiff. However, even she's come off rather better since becoming pals with Mio. Still, it's stuff like Tomoe's utter contempt for other Hero that draws me in. Her sneer when telling him he's a "hopeless piece of trash" is just great. I also think Sofia Bulger is in for a bit of a surprise the next time she tries to ambush Makoto. Frankly, I'm not sure she even gets a crack at him, since I'm pretty sure Tomoe and Mio could handle her and her dragon sidekick sans assistance from the young master. I'm glad this is two cours and that we have another season of this before it goes on hiatus again. I'm greedy, and I hope they announce season 3 at the end of this season. |

Looks like on-top of dealing with assassins the demons attack Rotsgard? And that reunites Makoto with Sofia? |
