I'll miss the silly fighting game pastiche they played, but getting SF6 when it's massively popular in Japan is a big win

Does kind of amuse me having a whole show about playing Street Fighter after previously seeing it as a one episode topic in Akiba's Trip and as just a random aside in Call of the Night.
That last one actually kind of deeply confused me because it was clearly being played on a PS1 but was the 30th Anniversary Collection version.

It's funny how the manga started out with a pastiche of SF4 but now it's legitimate SF6 in the anime form...but the game mechanics are different so I'm curious how that'll effect the adaption.
But even so, it looks great!

He's been doing series composition for quite a few diomedéa shows (starting with Girlish Number).

SFV Champion Edition (so not the OG SF5) - but yes.
But then the game itself that they play in the manga is basically legally distinctive SF4 (which also put a little problem with doing the matches because SF4 and SF6 are cardinally different by mechanics games), so it's not that much out of touch.

If you missed it, he was the main scriptwriter for most of studio Diomedea shows since 2021. Probably he decided to go into scriptwriting sometime after working with them on Giarlish Number.

Which not even existed on PC at the time of release of manga, so having it installed on school laptops bring even more legal questions 
But again, manga itself used the legally distinctive Street Fighter 4 with the designs somewhere in between of School Rivals and UNI, so it's obviously there.
