Just finished volume 3 and my immediate thought was this would make for a perfect animated movie, short and to the point with drama, action and some humor. I agree with Rebecca about the artwork, phenomenal! I was trying to figure out what other manga I read drawn by Tomi and I was not surprised it was the series Stravaganza, another short, (Onmibuses) well drawn and excellent story manga series. With this series, I was immediately in Jo's corner all the way to the end; feisty, independent and someone who would be on your side no matter what, she's the type of feisty character I gravitate to. I also agree with Rebecca wishing this was a longer series, but as is it's near perfect.

Thanks for the review! This series was on my radar for awhile, but I later forgot about it. Glad to hear that it's as good as the cover looks; I'll try and pick it up sometime.

Akihito Tomi is also the author of Is "Reiroukan Still Alive?", a story about a boy who moves into a boarding house on the verge of demolition, inhabited by other young people — all a little eccentric. While it may have a few inconsistencies, the humor and the artwork elevate it to a very high standard. It is definitely worth reading!

Well this story has potential to be a good anime or just a good movie adaptation some where down the line.
