It's good. If anything Mario Kart World is a good indicator of how many Switch 2 systems are sold in Japan with a small margin of error in these early days of the system. I think it (DK) will be a long term seller like Pikmin 4.

Yes, is good, Mario kart world includes console packs with the game and the latest DK game, tropical freeze sold 90k units in his first week, quite high] for a remaster in Japan (that usually doesn't sell so we'll)

This is very normal for video games in Japan, especially for a new console. Japan has a third of the population of the US, metrics are different.

I believe Nintendo's satisfied with those numbers, keep in mind that Donkey Kong has always been more popular in the West, though I think the Country games sold quite well on the Super Famicom. I think another issue is that 3D platformers aren't that popular in Japan compared to 2D ones. Still, I'd say Bananza did very well, I mean, Astro Bot only managed to sell like 10k last year

It's not amazing but it did better than Princess Peach's Showtime and probably has longer legs than that too. It's definitely below Mario, Zelda, Pikmin.
